The Concerts Schools Project enhances music education for students at NYC public high schools through attendance at live performances in 92NY’s world-class Concerts Series and participation in classroom workshops led by professional performing artists. This free program cultivates audience-going habits and a lifelong love of music.
In collaboration with school-based music teachers, 92NY designs original lessons that connect students’ course of study in band, orchestra, guitar, vocal arts and piano with the works and artists featured at 92NY. Hands-on, pre-concert lessons led by 92NY Teaching Artists introduce students to the works and musical traditions featured at the 92NY Concerts that students attend throughout the school year.
