Camp K’Ton Ton

Ages 3 - 5

A day camp for pre-school aged children, housed within the 92Y Nursery School, K’Ton Ton offers young children a well-rounded camp experience within a nurturing and supportive pre-school environment.

Summer 2022 Camp dates:

Monday, June 27-Friday, August 5
Camp is closed Monday, July 4

The camp is staffed by highly trained and experienced early childhood educators who bring creativity and energy to each camp day. Children at K’Ton Ton participate in a wide range of activities each day. Campers enjoy our three outdoor play spaces (including a covered roof terrace), participate in fun and creative art projects and engage in many imaginative and open-ended summer activities. Campers also participate in many enrichment activities including music, movement, gymnastics, sports and games and science.

Central to camp is our swim program led by Red Cross-certified instructors from the 92Y Aquatics Department. The children swim in one of our three pools, two of which are located outdoors.

Campers look forward to our “Weekly Wednesday Theme Days” such as pajama day, Wacky Wednesday and a Teddy Bear Picnic. Other special events of the summer include a live animal visit day, a spirited color day and a super fun camp carnival.

Prior to Camp K’TonTon, our son would only “swim” if he had a life jacket on and he would cling to one of us, and refuse to put his head in the water. After only 8 days of camp, he seems more confident and relaxed in the water. He didn’t want the life jacket, and he was willing to get his face wet. He wanted to show us how he could “swim” on his own! We can’t wait to see what the next few weeks will bring.”

Camp K’TonTon is a wonderful program. The counselors/teachers are experienced, nurturing and terrific. The activities are great! Even the sports and games counselor incorporates imaginative play into the activities. My five year old son is mastering swimming. He is delighted with his camp experience and we are too.”
