What is BBYO Manhattan Region?
Chapter: Chaverut BBYO

BBYO Manhattan is the fastest-growing Jewish teen program in Manhattan! Open to all Jewish teens in Grades 8-12, BBYO is the leading pluralistic Jewish teen movement in North America. With more than 600 chapters worldwide, Aleph Zadik Aleph (AZA) and B’nai B’rith Girls (BBG) offer a place for teens to grow as individuals and be part of something larger than themselves. BBYO offers a full array of activities—social, community service, and leadership development—all with Jewish teens in charge! BBYO creates leaders and friendships through AZA (male-identifying teens), BBG (female-identifying teens), and BBYO (all genders) chapters and is an international movement of more than 80,000 teens. Now is a great time to get involved! By becoming a member of Manhattan Region, teens experience local chapter programming, regional nights-out at Knicks Games, Dave & Busters, East River Yacht Parties, and more; community service days, weekend-long conventions and world-class summer programs.

Calling All 8th-12th Graders

BBYO Manhattan is proud to partner with The 92nd Street Y, New York. Chaverut BBYO, one of BBYO Manhattan’s 7 chapters, calls 92NY home. Now entering their fourth year, Chaverut has grown from a few founding members to a growing, thriving chapter of more than 60 teens. Chaverut BBYO meets on Tuesday or Thursday nights, every other week. Chapter events are always teen-led and include social, community service, and leadership development. Some of Chaverut’s favorite chapter events have been Challah Baking, Spring Fling, Chocolate Passover Seder, Bubble Soccer, Movie Night, and Casino Night, to name a few. Manhattan-wide regional events bring all local Manhattan chapters together for engaging, sophisticated, and energetic programming. Manhattan Region has the unique perk of all chapters being in the same geographical area, allowing for all ~400 members to hold events together, build friendships, and form a close-knit community.
