Techniques will include weaving, bead tips, pearl knotting on silk with French wire, crimp beads with beading wire, and elastic. Demonstrations and projects will cover bracelets, necklaces and earrings. Sources for materials will also be covered.

Marsha Davis is a professional jewelry instructor with over 20 years of experience - teaching beaded jewelry utilizing numerous techniques. She has been on the faculty of The 92nd Y Jewelry Center since 2000, teaching 5 classes per week. Previous experience includes the Craft Students League, The American Craft Museum and The American Museum of Natural History. Other teaching credits include workshops for Sugar Maples Center for Arts and Education, Newark Museum Arts Workshops, The Bead Society of Greater New York, The Long Island Bead Society, Beads by Blanche in Bergenfield, NJ, the Art School at Old Church in Demarest, NJ, and MAD Museum in NYC. Davis’s work is includes in The Art of Beaded Beads (2006) Lark Books.
