Benjamin Grow, a strong believer in a diverse approach to music, has performed on trumpet and sung with choirs in numerous festivals and concerts across North America. His interests in keyboards and early music have led him to chamber music performances on harpsichord with both period and modern instruments. While focusing on music theory and trumpet while in school at Rice University, Benjamin also studied conducting and composition with students of Nadia Boulanger at the Ecole Normal de Musique de Paris. He has conducted in Paris, Houston and led coachings in Mexico. He is currently a music theory instructor at the School for Strings in Manhattan, and has taught up to the university level. Benjamin received the Bachelor of Music degree from Rice University and has pursued graduate studies at McGill University in Montreal.
