"My philosophy towards running a workshop is not that I’m teaching writing so much as I’m teaching critical faculties,” writes Goldberg. “So much of writing is through the practice of writing. What can be taught is how to edit and critique your own work and the work of others.”
What makes a voice resonate? In this workshop, students focus on crafting strong voices that compel a reader forward. Together, we will foster a workshop environment of thoughtful, constructive critique to allow each student to hone stories that draw from tools such as observation, revelation and plain old charisma to craft the kind of tale that draws a reader in and doesn’t let go.
Students are chosen by Myla Goldberg on the basis of a manuscript submission. Applications must be received by Fri, May 12 at 5 pm. Click here for submission guidelines.
