A Typical Day at 92Y Noar After-School

In a typical day, children using our transportation are picked up from school at dismissal by one of our counselors, and are either walked or bussed to 92Y, depending on the distance and the total number of children from each particular school.

Children using an independent school bus service are picked up by a 92Y After-School counselor in the front of the building. Upon arrival, each child is taken directly to the age-appropriate room, where they are greeted and kept safe by our wonderful staff members. After they check in with the 92Y After-School room supervisor, children are given a snack (snack is provided twice a day) and spend time in the room participating in activities, like Clubhouse Art and/or playing games. At the appropriate time, each child is escorted to the Enrichment Class that he or she has signed up for. Children may also use the Homework Room, which is a separate space well-staffed by teachers and teen volunteers who are there to offer assistance.
