For Teens

  • Join the conversation. Share pictures, videos and comments on social media about/from #TeenArtsWeek events you attend and/or anything arts-related using the hashtag.

For Arts Organizations

  • Post about your #TeenArtsWeek program pre-event, during and post-event using the hashtag.
  • Create a special promotion or discount for patrons in honor of #TeenArtsWeek.
  • Host a Facebook Live, Twitter Chat or share an Instagram Story with arts influencers to engage your community in the conversation during #TeenArtsWeek.
  • Launch a new fundraising or awareness campaign for your institution tying into #TeenArtsWeek. Use the hashtag and let your constituents know that you are a part of the initiative.

For Educators

  • Organize a special event, lecture or keynote about the arts and/or careers in the arts and post about it using the hashtag #TeenArtsWeek.
  • Appoint faculty, career planning counselors, and student ambassadors and engage them to spread the word about #TeenArtsWeek and your plans for the week.
  • Host a Facebook Live, Twitter Chat or share an Instagram Story with arts influencers to engage your community in the conversation before, during and after #TeenArtsWeek.
  • Create a new arts-focused lesson guide or curriculum to engage students and faculty in a conversation about the arts and careers in the arts during #TeenArtsWeek.

Pre-event Messaging

  • Announce your event on social media
    • Sample post/tweet: “So excited to join @92Y & organizations across NYC for the first-ever citywide celebration of the arts for teens, by teens. #TeenArtsWeek. Get involved today!” Link to to have participants register for your event.
  • Post powerful quotes and use #TeenArtsWeek.
    • Sample post: “Arts education is important to us because [insert your message]. #TeenArtsWeek”

During Your Event Messaging

  • Share pictures on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter of your speakers, artists and participants. Continue to post powerful quotes or messaging that promote arts education.
  • Livestream your event. Facebook Live is an easy way to stream. Consider doing pre or post Facebook Live/Twitter Chat interviews with guests.
    • Sample Facebook Live/Twitter Chat post: “Live now! We’re at [insert your event details] exploring the power of arts education and creativity in the teen community. Tune in as part of #TeenArtsWeek w/ @92ndstreetY (@92Y).”
  • Record a short video of your event. Gather some comments from speakers, artists and participants about the topic you are exploring and the event.

Post-Event Messaging

  • Share pictures and/or video and a quick recap of the conversations, ideas and topics you explored during your even using the hashtag #TeenArtsWeek.
