Virtual Clay: A Conversation About Stress and Mental Health in the Time of COVID-19 — An OnDemand Online Lecture

Victor Schwartz M.D., Chief Medical Officer, The JED Foundation

In this discussion we will provide a brief overview of some of the common emotional responses to stress and life challenges—with attention to how COVID-19 can be impacting college students.

We’ll consider some tips on managing these stresses. We’ll also discuss how to address more severe reactions and how to distinguish typical reactions from those that might indicate a need for professional support.

There will be ample opportunity for question and discussion with the audience.

This program is one of several planned that hopes to address issues specific to the ceramic community in the unique circumstances we all found ourselves.

This event is part of 92Ys Virtual Clay™ series: offering first of a kind, real-time online classes that gather a vibrant community of artists, designers and art historians to speak with you about important topics in ceramics. The conversations are meant to challenge preconceptions and explore new territory, inspiring you to think about the world in fresh and different ways. All of this in the comfort of your home, studio or classroom.
