Important Update: 92Y remains open
A message from the center:
We understand that there is no substitute for being physically in the studio. We also understand the need to remain creative particularly during stressful times. In response to this situation we are putting in place ways to remain in contact with your faculty and stay creative through digital classes, group tutorials, email chats and shared digital content.
Please be alert for communication from your instructor with options to engage with these formats and content. We hope that these options to remain active and creative will be welcomed as we work through this challenging time and are spending more time in our homes and away from our regular routines. This is a huge change for all of us and we appreciate your patience and your willingness to stay in touch and creative. We hope to see you again very soon.
92Y’s Ceramics studios are equipped with 25 electric potters’ wheels, a gas reduction kiln and three electric kilns. We use stoneware in the fall and spring semesters, and porcelain in the summer.
Real-time and OnDemand online classes that gather a vibrant community of artists, designers and art historians to speak with you about important topics in ceramics.
In partnership with the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA), #GlobalDayofClay connects people around the world for one day – to share ideas and concepts, to showcase their own work and others, and to celebrate ceramics in all formats and industries.
