Rabbi Peter J. Rubinstein

Director of Jewish Community and Bronfman Center for Jewish Life

Peter J. Rubinstein brings decades of experience as a congregational rabbi and as a leader in the Jewish and interfaith communities to his role as 92Y’s director of Jewish Community and the Bronfman Center for Jewish Life.

Karina Zilberman

Director of 92Y Shababa Network

Karina Zilberman founded Shababa in the lobby of 92Y in 2007. She has been leading Shababa until the summer of 2015 when she passed the torch to the amazing Rebecca Schoffer.

Matt Check

Director of Jewish Education

Matt Check has been Director of Jewish Education for the Bronfman Center at 92Y since July 2015. He runs Atid, (Jewish Afterschool) and is involved in other educational initiatives as well.

Rebecca Schoffer

Director of Jewish Family Engagement

Rebecca Schoffer originally hails from Margate, NJ. An alumna of Tufts University and the Atlantic Acting Conservatory, Rebecca has been teaching and working with children and the creative arts since moving to New York in 2008.

Chelsea Bassman

Director of Jewish Administration

Chelsea joined the 92Y Bronfman Center team in September 2014 after working at Central Synagogue as Rabbi Peter Rubinstein’s Executive Assistant since January 2012.

Morissa Glatman

Shababa Network Coordinator

Morissa Glatman is a native New Yorker who came to 92nd Street Y after her food justice fellowship with Repair the World in Philadelphia.

Melissa Cole

Assistant Director Programs and Events

Melissa Cole is a Long Island native who has found a home within 92Y‘s Jewish Life department. Melissa comes from an extensive camp background that fostered her love for enriching the lives of children of all ages.
