The Mind and Music of George Gershwin

Psychiatrist and pianist Dr. Richard Kogan will give a lecture/concert that explores the impact of psychological factors and psychiatric illness on the creative output of the great Jewish American composer George Gershwin (1898-1937).

The discussion will be illuminated by piano performances of Gershwin masterpieces including Rhapsody in Blue and Porgy and Bess.

This concert is supported by Weill Cornell Medicine Center for the Performing Artist.
