Bossa Nova develops in Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro in the late 1950’s and marks a golden era of Brazilian musical history, with vocalist/guitarist Joao Gilberto, and composer/guitarist/pianist Antonio Carlos Jobim at the forefront of bringing this “new beat” to international prominence.
