Special introductory remarks by George Hirsch

Join us for a special evening to celebrate two running legends, Meb Keflezighi and Kathrine Switzer.

Meb, America’s greatest marathon runner, Boston and New York City marathon champion and Olympic medalist, is retiring from competitive marathon running this year after the New York City marathon. Kathrine was the first woman to run the Boston marathon with an official bib 50 years ago and has become a champion of the female running movement. She will also be running in the New York City marathon this year. Moderated by sports medicine physician and Runner’s World author Dr. Jordan Metzl, this program will offer a unique look at the incredible stories behind these running icons and their important roles in the history of marathon running.
