Stephen Brown: Chaim Soutine: Flesh

Chaim Soutine: Flesh

In the Paris of the 1920s, Chaim Soutine was a double outsider—an immigrant Jew and a modernist.

Stephen Brown, Curator at the Jewish Museum, revisits Chaim Soutine: Flesh an exhibition of more than thirty paintings by the Expressionist known for his gestural and densely painted canvases of fowl, beef, and rayfish, and as one of the twentieth century’s great painters of still life.

Chaim Soutine: Flesh was on view from May 4 - September 16, 2018.

This program will not be recorded for later viewing.
