Join us for the culmination of 92Y’s first-ever Future Dance Festival, as we showcase the work of the dance creator finalists selected by our panel of leading dance company directors. NOTE: ALL PROGRAMS ARE AVAILABLE THROUGH APRIL 26. THIS INCLUDES PROGRAMS MARKED AS “PASSED EVENT DATE” IN THE TICKET PURCHASE WINDOW.
Conceived during the COVID-19 quarantine as a way to connect suddenly platform-less emerging dancers and choreographers with the influential dance company directors so crucial to amplifying their voices, 92Y now invites you to see the work that set them apart. Their dances reflect on themes of loneliness, time, injustice, home, rage and more, expressed by some of the most exciting new talent in dance today, and the artists the world will be seeing more than a glimpse of tomorrow.
Each program includes introductions by the company directors with insight into the qualities they look for and what determined their selections, plus an interview with each of the choreographers, in which they discuss the creation of their work. Once you have purchased a ticket, you will receive a link for that weekend’s program which will be available from that Friday at noon through midnight Sunday.
