The Mechanics of Fluids: Bartosik, Kotze, Nishimura, Shick

Joanna Kotze

Award winning choreographers, Kimberly Bartosik, Joanna Kotze, Mina Nishimura and Vicky Shick, renowned for their bright, thoughtful and challenging work, dance original zesty works and discuss.

Kimberly Bartosik will be presenting a work-in-progress excerpt from Untitled, her new work being built from the "remnants" of her recent piece I hunger for you.

Joanna Kotze will show an excerpt of her new work in progress, ‘lectric Eye (working title), a collaboration with composer/musician Ryan Seaton.

Mina Nishimura presents a study of "blurry body" that constantly slips away from a present time, space and action. Re-evaluating vital correlations between “images” and “movements,” this dance seeks for alternative ways of being in a present moment and of connecting to the world.

Vicky Shick will present a short character study in movement.

$15 in advance / $25, 2-hours prior to performance
