Naomi Lewin with John Holiday, Aryeh Nussbaum Cohen, and Samuel Mariño

In the last few decades, a number of star countertenors have emerged.

Next up for 92Y School of Music, Naomi Lewin will speak with Americans John Holiday and Aryeh Nussbaum Cohen — and Venezuelan-born male soprano Samuel Mariño. Holiday will make his Metropolitan Opera debut next fall, and recently reached the finals of NBC’s The Voice; Nussbaum Cohen won a 2019 GRAMMY Award, and makes his Australian debut next month at the Adelaide Festival; and Mariño, who is based in Berlin, has performed all over Europe. Lewin is the former weekday afternoon host on WQXR. She also writes, hosts, and produces the podcast Classics for Kids.

Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions via chat during the program.
