57th Street, River to River

This architectural walking tour looks at the changing landscape of Manhattan’s Midtown architecture by focusing on the street that has become known as Billionaires’ Row.

We focus on recently completed buildings as well as those under construction.

The tour is approximately two and a quarter miles long and involves traversing a couple flights of stairs.

Meet at the brick-paved plaza overlooking the East River at the east end of 57th Street.

John Hill

John Hill is an architect, blogger, freelance writer and editor, and published author. He grew up in Chicago, went to architecture school in Kansas and then moved to New York City after working at an architecture firm in Chicago for ten years. Since the move to NYC in 2006 he has focused on writing and put out five books on architecture—in NYC and beyond. The latest, NYC Walks, presents ten walking tours he has been giving since the publication of his first book, Guide to Contemporary New York City Architecture.
