Develop your drawing skills and explore different mediums such as graphite, charcoal, and ink. We will hone our practice with a variety of timed poses ranging from quick sketches to fully realized drawings. Whether you are interested in developing realistic rendering skills, or looking to improve character anatomy, figure drawing will provide you with the tools to do so.

Laura Gauthier is a freelance concept artist and art educator born and raised in New York City. She has worked with a variety of New York based independent film production studios, taking great passion in bringing characters and environments to life.
Her most recent clients include Director Craig Macneill (The Boy, 2015), and Producer/Director Jenn Wexler (Darling, 2015).
Laura has worked at the 92nd St Y Art Center as an Art Instructor and Teacher's Assistant for the past seven years. She has worked with children of all ages in a variety of different mediums. She currently teaches a traditional animation class, and a drawing and painting class to teenagers.
