James Beard Finalist author of Art of the Pie and the just released Pie Camp, Kate McDermott, returns for an enjoyable evening of interactive learning and baking with her Snowy Day Chiffon Pie perfect to enjoy on cozy winter days or any time of the year.
In this follow-along class we will learn to make a press-in crumb crust, a stove-top chiffon filling flavored with almond and vanilla, and a delicious rum-laced whipped cream topping which you will add after our session when the pie has set and chilled. These are three basic skills every pie maker will want to know.
