Students are chosen by Grace Schulman on the basis of a manuscript submission. Applications must be received by Friday, February 16, at 5 pm. Click here for submission guidelines.
Masterclass takes place at the instructor’s apartment in the East Village. Work presented as the manuscript submission will be shared among accepted students and discussed in this exclusive three-hour workshop.
Grace Schulman is the author of several poetry collections, including Without a Claim, The Broken String and Days of Wonder: New and Selected Poems. She is “a vital and permanent poet,” wrote Harold Bloom. A former director of 92Y’s Unterberg Poetry Center and poetry editor of The Nation, she has received numerous grants and awards, including a fellowship from the Guggenheim Foundation and the Frost Medal from the Poetry Society of America.
