In this introductory course, you will both experience and learn about the field of dance movement therapy — its origins, framework and basic processes — and take away some creative tools for navigating uncertain times.
Dance and movement therapy can help raise self-awareness, awaken our creativity, heal wounds, and express ourselves in new ways that also benefit those around us and the world at large.
Movement helps us remember the playfulness, freedom, joy, connection and possibilities that are available in each and every moment.
This course is a virtual space to learn, move, and connect with others. It is appropriate for potential DMT students, dance educators, and those from other disciplines, however dance experience is not required. Wear comfortable clothing to move in and have paper and writing materials handy.
