One of the most essential elements of a narrative audio documentary is the interview.
A well-crafted interview can serve as the germinating point for a larger idea, add color to an otherwise dull story, or even carry the whole story itself. In this four-week workshop we will delve into the ethics, approaches, and techniques for producing your own interviews, and how to do so with freely available technology. We'll turn to examples from contemporary audio documentaries, construct a narrative toolbox, and develop our own blueprint for interviews.
