Simon Morrison

Simon Morrison is Professor of Music and Slavic Language and Literatures at Princeton University. He has published on each of the four composers featured in this course, and has also written a book about the Bolshoi ballet. His edition of the original “happy” ending version of the ballet Romeo and Juliet was staged by the Mark Morris Dance Groupe in 2008. He is currently writing a book about Shostakovich for Norton and a history of Moscow for Random House.
