Writing is a way of looking, of seeing past clichés.
In this class we discuss how to use the elements of craft both to help us see better as we write and to guide our readers to see what we’re seeing. Through workshopping your work and the work of your fellow students, as well as writing exercises and reading published work, we examine voice, character, point of view and, not least, that much-maligned aspect of storytelling: story.
Class meets on Wednesdays: Feb 21, 28, Mar 14, 21, 28, Apr 4, 11 and 18
