Loaded with handouts, practical tips and hands-on exercises, this course offers students of all levels the skills and knowledge to confront and conquer their nemesis.
They’ll gain confidence as they practice tips on sighting angles, locating the horizon line and vanishing points, drawing straighter lines, and making things align and stand up. More advanced perspective concepts include arches and other curves, stairs, and multi-point vanishing points.

Wennie Huang received her BFA in Painting from Pratt Institute in 1994 and her MFA in Printmaking from the University of Michigan in 1996. Huang also teaches drawing at Pratt Institute, and has taught a variety of children and adult classes and workshops since 1995. She creates mixed media installations from paper, wood, print, fabric and photography. Her work has been exhibited at the Bronx Museum of the Arts, Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute, Wave Hill, Detroit Artists Market Biennial and in various NYC galleries. She has received grants from the National Endowment of the Arts and the New York Foundation for the Arts, as well as residencies at the Lower East Side Printshop, Dieu Donne Papermill and the Ragdale Foundation. She lives and works in Brooklyn.
