Important Update: 92Y remains open
Join us each Friday for a virtual vacation to some of the world’s great art collections!
We will digitally visit places like Paris to see iconic works from the Louvre, Amsterdam to take inspiration from the Dutch Masters at the Rijksmuseum, and cherished Roman objects from the storied halls of the Vatican Museum. Each week we’ll explore the public online collections of one of these institutions and discover individual works that are related by technical or conceptual themes in class presentations and discussions. Through careful observation of these images and objects, students will create their own drawings. By working from these master works you’ll expand your own art history and art-making vocabulary, discovering not only why artists created these works, but how.
