Take your short story writing to the next level in this workshop with writer and editor Emily Nemens.
We’ll look at form and function in the contemporary story, workshop works in progress and discuss key tools for revision.
Class meets Thursdays, March 31, April 7, 14 and 21. Students are chosen by Emily Nemens on the basis of a manuscript submission. Applications must be received by Tuesday, January 18 at 5 pm. View the submission guidelines. Scholarship assistance is available. Applications must be returned to Scholarship Services at least two weeks before the first session.

Emily Nemens is the author of The Cactus League, “a wonderful, necessary read to remind you how infinite and wild other people can be,” wrote The Brooklyn Rail. She served as the editor of The Paris Review, the nation’s preeminent literary quarterly, and coeditor of The Southern Review, a storied literary journal published at Louisiana State University.
