Important Update: 92Y remains open
This intensive course offers a rich experience for high school students looking to advance their drawing skills and explore a range of techniques.
Each session, students will engage with a drawing project that pairs rendering techniques with a focus such as light, vantage point and perspective. The class will also explore the work of artists like Seurat, Goya and Hockey and others in relation to these project themes. Through class discussions, presentations, and careful observation students will be challenged to push their practical abilities in art-making while expanding their historical knowledge and understanding. Students should be prepared to complete assignments outside of class time.
