Trailblazers is a uniquely designed program that provides the right balance of independence and supervision for our young, teenage campers. The program seeks to challenge campers in age-appropriate ways that allow them to take risks in a safe environment that values each and every camper’s contributions.
Three days each week, campers depart from the Trailblazers’ bus locations in New York City for exciting trips around the tri-state area, including amusement parks, beaches, museums, water parks, sports games and more. Additional trips include team building and community service such as a New York City scavenger hunt or volunteering at a local food bank.
Each Wednesday, campers enjoy a "late night" and spend extended time doing specific activities, such as a visit to Great Adventure, white water rafting. On these days, dinner will be provided (vegetarian options will be available.) Campers return at approximately 8:30 pm. There are two overnight trips, which are detailed below.
Campers participate in an exciting elective of their choice on two days per week throughout the summer. Activity options for our specialty programming are released each spring.
