Who is God?: Mario Cuomo, Ari L. Goldman, and Madeleine L'Engle with Roger Rosenblatt

Oct 15, 1991

Governor Mario Cuomo, Ari L. Goldman, New York Times reporter who wrote The Search for God at Harvard, Madeleine L’Engle, author of the children’s book A Wrinkle in Time and moderator Roger Rosenblatt reflect on the question, Who Is God? in this audio recording.

Of particular note is Cuomo's portion, heralded as one of his greatest speeches. Upon Cuomo's death, Sam Roberts wrote about its importance. Alessandra Stanley reported on it, also in The New York Times, the day after Cuomo delivered it in 1991.

92Y needs your help

Many of you have asked how you can help 92Y as we face tremendous financial losses due to Covid-19. From now through June 30, your gift will be matched dollar for dollar up to $250,000 by an anonymous donor—going twice as far in supporting 92Y.
