Republican strategist and U.S. News & World Report columnist Boris Epshteyn joined 92Y American Conversation's Jordan Chariton to react to President Obama's State of the Union speech. Epshteyn credited President Obama for relating to the American people with an emotional appeal on gun control. Other than that, Epshteyn thought Obama's speech was a "snooze fest."
Boris also disliked the fact that President Obama asked for additional revenue in trying to lower the deficit considering he just got more revenue in the fiscal cliff deal.
On Senator Marco Rubio's Republican response, Epshteyn thought "he was much better than Bobby Jindal" and "was relatable."
