92Y After School

For Grades K-6

92Y’s After-School Program provides a safe and structured childcare environment for children in grades K-6. Ideal for the working parent, the program combines a well-balanced “structured-free play” space with enrichment activities that boost self-confidence and allow children to navigate group environments and build social skills—including fine art & design, jewelry, ceramics, sports and recreation, dance, music, cooking and more!

Organized by grade level, children can participate in programs for all skill levels one to five days per week. Transportation and snacks are provided. Tuition varies dependent on enrollment days and program selection.

92Y’s After-School Program philosophy is that while children benefit greatly from daily enrichment classes, they also gain important life-skills and form lasting friendships by engaging in a healthy structured “free-play” environment. This balance between enrichment activities and free-play with peers is not only essential to the well-rounded development of a child, it allows children to decompress after a rigorous school day.

Our clubhouse programs are open Monday-Friday and organized by grade level. After-School Program staff, childhood educators, as well as college and graduate student volunteers are on hand to ensure a happy and upbuilding free-play experience for your child. Games and snacks are provided.

Junior Clubhouse — Kindergarten
Clubhouse I — 1st Grade
Clubhouse II — 2nd Grade
Clubhouse III — 3rd & 4th Grade
After-School Program Plus — 5th & 6th Grade

Only After-School Program Plus children are permitted to travel to and from enrichment classes under their own supervision. Additionally, Senior Clubhouse participants may also self-dismiss at the end of the afternoon if a parent has filled out a self-dismissal consent form.

Homework Room

The Homework Room is housed in a large, open and quiet environment supervised by 92Y’s After-School Program staff members. With carefully selected high school and college-aged community service volunteers on hand to help with your child’s academic needs, our mission is to boost academic performance and promote healthy classroom behavior. Children can also choose a book to read from the After-School Program Book Corner.

The Homework Room is available Mon– Thu from 3:30 pm to 5:45 pm. Children can use the room in lieu of the clubhouse, as well as before and after their scheduled enrichment class.

92Y’s After-School Program families receive discounts on Mini-Camps and Sunday Science Spectaculars! For more information, contact the After-School Program office.
