Meet the Chef
Chef David Ritter began his own catering business in the mid-1980s, trained at the French Culinary Institute in 1991 and opened his own take-out restaurant in Forest Hills in 1994, receiving instant notoriety by winning the New York State: Beef, It's what's for Dinner Award for his famous brisket and earning write-ups in The New York Times and Newsday.
Chef Ritter is a Certified Hospitality Educator and Master Teacher in Methodology, has an MA in Education and is a Certified ServSafe instructor and proctor. He's even ranked as one of the top 100 culinary chef instructors in the United States on Chef2Chef.com and most recently taught at The Center for Kosher Culinary Arts in Brooklyn.
