Study ballet at 92Y's Harkness Dance Center!
Students interested in taking our advanced beginning level ballet class are recommended to have had one to two years of recent ballet training and should be familiar with the positions of the body and ballet vocabulary.
The barre exercises focus on correct placement, posture and execution of steps. Center work includes adagio, pirouettes and petite allegro with careful attention to arm positions. Grand allegro combinations are lyrical in style, allowing students to truly experience the joy of movement. Come join us and dance in a welcoming environment to inspiring, live piano accompaniment!
Classes are ongoing. Start dancing today with class cards. Class cards can be purchased for all classes even after they have started or are closed.
