In his songs for children and their families, Randy Kaplan blends American Roots, Country, Blues, and Comedic Storytelling. He finger-picks and strums his way through unpredictable live shows which, in addition to his original compositions, include Tin Pan Alley gems, Broadway numbers and Delta Blues songs. "He doesn't dumb it down for the kids... He just expects them to come along for the ride. And they do" (Time Out New York Kids). As indebted to Steve Martin and Ogden Nash as he is to Arlo Guthrie and Dave Van Ronk, "(Randy's) original songs are as imaginative and rambling as a preschooler" (The Lovely Mrs. Davis). Randy started his kids' music career in Park Slope, Brooklyn and now resides in Los Angeles, California.
Randy's third not-JUST-for-kids CD, The Kids Are All Id, won top honors from NAPPA, their Gold Award, was voted a Top Five CD in the Nickelodeon Parents' Picks Awards and appeared on the Top Ten CDs of 2010 lists of Fids & Kamilies, Time Out New York Kids, Zoogobble, OWTK and Family Man Online (where it was awarded the #1 slot)!

Priority registration puts you at the front of the line to register for courses and events for an upcoming semester.
Eligible patrons will be able to order priority registration online.
Who is eligible for priority registration?
Individuals who have participated in 92nd Street Y programs over the past year in selected program areas, participants in certain memberships, and those who have made contributions of $500 or more to 92Y, are eligible to register for programs before they become available to the general public.
How do I know if I qualify?
Patrons that qualify for Priority Registration will receive packets in the mail explaining how to purchase online. Priority registration is normally mailed 2-3 weeks before a catalog is available. Registration information includes your Patron ID#. You can use this ID# to setup your login information online. This will allow you to register early for a course or event. Please note: if you receive a packet, you are only eligible to priority register for the programs covered in your packet.
