Soul-reggae sensations Meta & the Cornerstones return to restart their monthly residency series. Coming off a hugely successful Summerstage appearance and with the release of their new album, recorded at Kingston's Tuff Gong Studios with Steel Pulse's Sidney Mills, right around the corner, Meta and co's return has been eagerly anticipated all summer.

Joining the Cornerstones tonight is the great DJ Gravy. DJ Gravy is a rare breed. Connecting the dots all around the pop culture stratosphere, this New Yorker has proved many "experts" wrong with his musical ventures, including the creation of a successful hybrid of Brooklyn's Caribbean Bashment Culture and Downtown's exclusive party circuit.

As founder of the widely popular "RICE and PEAS Party," DJ Gravy formed a recognized brand in a matter of months that has grown tremendously since its '07 inception, and has hosted release parties and promotional events for Wayne Wonder, Assassin, Gyptian, Timberlee, Frank151, Okayplayer, Jamrock Magazine, Backayard Magazine, Scion, The Fader, Urb, VP Records and more. Reggae luminaries Sean Paul, Shaggy, Richie Spice, Mr. Vegas and plenty more have all made special appearances at RICE and PEAS Parties.

Priority registration puts you at the front of the line to register for courses and events for an upcoming semester.

Eligible patrons will be able to order priority registration online.

 

Who is eligible for priority registration?

Individuals who have participated in 92nd Street Y programs over the past year in selected program areas, participants in certain memberships, and those who have made contributions of $500 or more to 92Y, are eligible to register for programs before they become available to the general public.

How do I know if I qualify?

Patrons that qualify for Priority Registration will receive packets in the mail explaining how to purchase online. Priority registration is normally mailed 2-3 weeks before a catalog is available. Registration information includes your Patron ID#. You can use this ID# to setup your login information online. This will allow you to register early for a course or event. Please note: if you receive a packet, you are only eligible to priority register for the programs covered in your packet.
