Join us as we travel to the Upper North Side, a “Little Canada” of sorts that highlights the artistic innovation of our neighbors to the north.
We’ll celebrate this surge of creativity with a night of reading and discussion with Canadian novelist Michael Crummey. Crummey, whose debut novel River Thieves (2001) became a Canadian bestseller and also garnered numerous awards and short-list honors for Canada’s prestigious Giller Prize, returns readers to the place of his birth – Newfoundland and Labrador – in his newest novel, Galore. The book spans a century in the folkloric life of a hardscrabble fishing community.
