Artist Bio

International Israeli singer, songwriter and peace advocate, twenty-three year Liel Kolet started her international career at the age of 12 when she won a European talent contest in Italy.

Born on a Kibbutz in the North of Israel, near the Lebanese border, Liel experienced the war as a child and decided to use her voice and music to promote peace and send the message of tolerance and unity to her generation.

At age 14, during her performance at an international political event, surrounded by a choir of 40 Arab and Jewish children, Liel invited President Bill Clinton to join her on stage. CNN/International broadcasted President Clinton and Liel singing together one of history’s most important peace songs ever recorded - John Lennon’s “Imagine.” Their impromptu duet began a firestorm of publicity and Liel quickly became a highly sought after performer and spokesperson for peace concerts, and charities throughout the world.

At age 16, Liel released her first international album in Europe and Mexico drawing remarkable reviews and chart success. Amongst the many major TV shows that year, she appeared on the biggest European TV show, "The Eurovision" (a live show with more than 500 million viewers), as well as on the "Jerry Lewis Telethon." Since then Liel has performed in hundreds of live concerts around the world always bringing a message of global peace from her homeland to the stage. Recently Liel was even honored with the prestigious "German Radio Award" further cementing her legacy as a tireless advocate for peace.

Through her efforts, Liel has collaborated with President Shimon Peres, sung duets with legendary tenor Andrea Bocelli and performed with Herbie Hancock and Patti LaBelle. On October 9 of this past year, Liel was a featured performer at an historic international event for the Dalai Lama.
