Millions of American’s looking for work, an unprecedented income gap, the foreclosure crisis—no wonder the economy is issue number one this election year.
A month before the election, learn what comes next, as Nobel-prize winning economist Joseph Stiglitz and political scientist Ian Bremmer explain how we got to this point and propose the solutions to move the country forward.
What questions do you have about the economy? Leave them below and we'll forward them during the Q&A.
Joseph Stiglitz is University Professor at Columbia University, the winner of the 2001 Nobel Prize in Economics and a lead author of the 1995 IPCC report, which shared the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize.
He is also co-chair of Columbia University’s Committee on Global Thought. His latest book, The Price of Inequality: How Today’s Divided Society Endangers Our Future, looks at the damage that America’s severe and worsening economic inequality is doing to our nation’s political system, our economic system and our policies.
Ian Bremmer is the founder and president of Eurasia Group, the leading global political risk research and consulting firm. His most recent book, Every Nation for Itself: Winners and Losers in a G-Zero World, details risks and opportunities in a world without global leadership.
Robin Harding is US Economics Editor for the Financial Times, covering the US Federal Reserve and the US Treasury.
A book selling and signing will follow the event.
