The team from NPR's hugely popular Planet Money presents the economy in a way you've never experienced.

Through a special blend of story-telling, expertise and humor, the duo breathes life into the dense and often dry subject of the economy. It affects us all, but most of us have only a dim understanding of how it works. Spend an evening unraveling the latest economic news—have fun, finally understand all that stuff on the business pages and look at the world in a whole new way.

What questions about the economy do you have for Alex Blumberg and Adam Davidson? Let us know on our Facebook page, and we'll forward them along during the Q&A. If your question is used on stage, we'll provide you with two tickets to an upcoming talk, pending availability. So get questioning!

Brief Biographies

Adam Davidson is co-founder and co-host of Planet Money, a co-production of NPR and This American Life. His work has won every major award in broadcast journalism, including the Peabody, DuPont-Columbia, and the Polk. Davidson's award-winning documentary on the housing crisis, "The Giant Pool of Money," which he co-reported and produced with Alex Blumberg, was recently named one of the top ten works of journalism of the decade by the Arthur L. Carter of Journalism Institute at New York University. In two weekly podcasts, a blog and regular features on Morning Edition, All Things Considered and This American Life, Planet Money helps listeners understand how dramatic economic change is impacting their lives. Planet Money also proves, every day, that substantive, intelligent economic reporting can be funny, engaging and accessible to the non-expert. Before Planet Money, Davidson was International Business & Economics Correspondent for NPR. He has also written articles for The New York Times Magazine, Harper's, GQ, Rolling Stone and many others.

Alex Blumberg is a contributing editor for NPR's Planet Money. He is also a producer for the public radio program This American Life, and an adjunct professor of journalism at Columbia University. He has done radio documentaries on the U.S. Navy, people who do impersonations of their mothers and teenage Steve Forbes supporters. He won first place at the 2002 Third Coast International Audio Festival for his story "Yes, There is a Baby." His story on clinical medical ethicists won the 1999 Public Radio News Directors Incorporated (PRNDI) award for best radio documentary.

In 2008, Blumberg collaborated with NPR economics correspondent Adam Davidson on a special This American Life episode about the housing crisis. Called "the greatest explainer ever heard" by noted journalism professor Jay Rosen, the Giant Pool of Money became the inspiration for NPR's Planet Money.
