    Anna Khanina started her musical education at the age of five, and in 1996 she graduated with honors from the famous Gnessin School of Music in Moscow for gifted children, where she studied with Lidia Grigorjeva. Upon her graduation, she immigrated to Germany, where she began studies with Professor Bernd Goetzke (former student of Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli) at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hannover. In 1999 she graduated from the Hochschule für Musik Magna cum Laude. In 2001 she earned a Master’s degree from the same institution, and subsequently went on to pursue an Artist Diploma in the Soloist-Class in 2001. At the same time, while pursuing her studies at the Hochschule für Musik, Anna simultaneously pursued a second Master’s degree in Performance at the Gnessin Academy of Music, where she again graduated with honors in 2004.

    Pianist Lora Tchekoratova has appeared as a soloist, recitalist and chamber musician throughout the United States and Europe. Recently she was the featured artist of a documentary broadcast by the Bulgarian National Television. At age 21 she won the top prize of the Washington International Competition for pianists. Subsequently, Ms. Tchekoratova made her debut at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC, performing Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto No. 2, and made recital appearances at the Phillips Collection (broadcast over WGTS-FM) as well as in Alexandria, Chicago, Minneapolis and many other cities. She is a frequent soloist with the Lyric Orchestra in New Jersey and the New Symphony Orchestra in Sofia, Bulgaria. A former student of Seymour Lipkin, Ms. Tchekoratova holds the Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the Juilliard School. 92Y YourStage provides a venue for independent curators, performers, and educators to mount a professional production. Yourstage events are confirmed once they meet a threshold for ticket sales by a certain date.

YourStage events that are ON have been confirmed; PENDING events need to generate more ticket sales; If an event fails to generate enough ticket sales, the event will be CALLED OFF, and all ticket holders will be refunded.

Eligible patrons will be able to order priority registration online.

 

Who is eligible for priority registration?

Individuals who have participated in 92nd Street Y programs over the past year in selected program areas, participants in certain memberships, and those who have made contributions of $500 or more to 92Y, are eligible to register for programs before they become available to the general public.

How do I know if I qualify?

Patrons that qualify for Priority Registration will receive packets in the mail explaining how to purchase online. Priority registration is normally mailed 2-3 weeks before a catalog is available. Registration information includes your Patron ID#. You can use this ID# to setup your login information online. This will allow you to register early for a course or event. Please note: if you receive a packet, you are only eligible to priority register for the programs covered in your packet.
