For the first time, fashion luminary Norma Kamali breaks the sound barrier of the silent model in the photo, and on the runway.
Join some of the women considered the most beautiful in the world in an open discussion that will show that all women are more than the way they look.
Norma Kamali has been a fashion designer since 1967, and dressed the most beautiful women in the world throughout that time, as she does today. All women experience the same feelings of empowerment and doubt, all stemming from how they look, and how they are judged. Norma understands her role is to empower women through clothing. She also feels strongly that fitness and health result in beauty, and her work through her wellness café is another layer of information to empower women. Self-esteem and image are deeper issues and in her interviews with women, their stories enlighten and inspire other women to better understand how to achieve empowerment.
Norma thinks it is time to hear what the most beautiful women in the world today have to say about the subject. She would like to give a voice to their opinions and thoughts about the fashion industry, their lifestyle, and how they see their impact in the world. Norma has been interviewing women around the world; the last group for her SiriusXM radio show included NYC mayoral candidate Christine Quinn, Cindy Lauper, Joan Jett, Korean female comedian Margaret Cho, political reporter Mica Bryzinski and Gloria Steinem.
Sharing stories is the way to bring awareness. This is the way to inspire other women to share their stories and to empower themselves through a positive turn on self-esteem and image issues.
