DANA KATZ
Choreographer and Artistic Director of Danaka Dance
Premieres PROSPECT MINDS
And hosts Shannon Gillen + Guests

Their new project embodies the centuries-old practice of celebrating Spring's renewal, which has expressed itself as a state of anti-death. What would the celebration mean if one were told they would never die, or if death were coming soon? This project gives physical shape to these psychological states, distilling these practices into their essential moral, philosophical and human questions.

Prospect Minds

Celebration of a new season is a reason to purify one’s soul and felicitate awareness for new beginnings. In the Jewish religion there is couple of occasions when one is encouraged to start over. This work travels along the lines of the general need to leave old habits behind and prospect for a better future. Prospect Minds gather together three people, in a semi-old living room set, which is defined as the ‘other world’. The other world is a state of mind where one is able to start all over again. These novel inspired special characters are dealing with releasing old memories, unnecessarily under chosen circumstances, and help each other with their personal new journey. They collectively recall private events from the past and are struggling with forgiveness and connecting to their inner voice.
