    Melanie Baker lives and works in Brooklyn, NY. Baker earned her BFA from Pratt Institute and her MFA from Stony Brook University. Baker's artwork has been featured in solo and group exhibitions at many venues around New York City including the Brooklyn Museum, the Jersey City Museum, Roebling Hall and White Box. Baker received a New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowship in 2003 and was named the recipient of the 2003 New York Foundation for Arts Prize. Other grants and fellowships include the Art Omi International Artists' Colony, the Sacatar Foundation in Bahia, Brazil, the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council’s Workspace Program, Djerassi Resident Artists’ Program, the Tyrone Guthrie Center at Annaghmakerrig, Ireland, Valparaiso in Mojacar, Spain and Yaddo.     Philip Vanderhyden is an artist living and working in New York. Born in Wisconsin in 1978, Vanderhyden earned a BFA in painting from the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 2001 and an MFA from Northwestern University in 2004 and a BFA from the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 2001. Vanderhyden has exhibited extensively nationally. His work has been reviewed in Art in America, Artnet and Artslant, among others. He recently concluded a solo exhibition of his work at Andrew Rafacz Gallery in Chicago and curated the retrospective of Pictures Generation artist Gretchen Bender.

    In addition to 92nd Street Y, Vanderhyden has taught a range of courses, from undergraduate to graduate level, at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Northwestern University and The University of Illinois at Chicago among others.

    Melanie Kozol has been exploring the contemporary landscape since graduating Connecticut College. She attended The Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture and earned an MFA from the School of Visual Arts. Melanie was awarded an NEA Visual Artist Fellowship in painting and received a Skowhegan Scholarship for Drawing at NYSS.

    In addition to teaching painting and drawing at the School of the Arts, 92nd Street Y, Melanie is a visiting instructor at Pratt Institute. Her work has been widely exhibited including Project Room 88, Kathryn Markel Fine Arts, Weber Fine Art, Alexander Gallery, DFN and Bussaco. Her paintings are included in numerous public and private collections including the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, the Pfizer Corporation, Deutsche Bank, Bellagio Hotel and Triomphe at the Iroquois Hotel. 92Y YourStage provides a venue for independent curators, performers, and educators to mount a professional production. Yourstage events are confirmed once they meet a threshold for ticket sales by a certain date.

YourStage events that are ON have been confirmed; PENDING events need to generate more ticket sales; If an event fails to generate enough ticket sales, the event will be CALLED OFF, and all ticket holders will be refunded.

Eligible patrons will be able to order priority registration online.

 

Who is eligible for priority registration?

Individuals who have participated in 92nd Street Y programs over the past year in selected program areas, participants in certain memberships, and those who have made contributions of $500 or more to 92Y, are eligible to register for programs before they become available to the general public.

How do I know if I qualify?

Patrons that qualify for Priority Registration will receive packets in the mail explaining how to purchase online. Priority registration is normally mailed 2-3 weeks before a catalog is available. Registration information includes your Patron ID#. You can use this ID# to setup your login information online. This will allow you to register early for a course or event. Please note: if you receive a packet, you are only eligible to priority register for the programs covered in your packet.
