    Susan Cottle is a painter who received her M.F.A. cum laude from The New York Academy of Art Graduate School of Figurative Art, and her B.F.A. from Montserrat College of Art. She is currently Part-time Assistant Professor of Art at New School University and Parsons School of Design. She has taught at The New York Academy of Art, St. John's University and various institutions in Italy, including Montserrat College of Art, Viterbo, St. John's University, Rome and Studio Art Centers International in Florence. In 2008, Susan was featured in a one-person exhibition at St. John's University Manhattan. Recent two-person and group exhibitions have included Synagogue for the Arts, The Painting Center SoHo, The Hudson Guild, Wyndham Fine Arts, and Island Weiss Gallery. In 2010, Susan was awarded an Artist Residency by the National Park Service, in the Petrified Forest, Arizona.

    Instructor: Nancy Johnson  show bio

    While attending the Universtiy of Massachusetts, Nancy Johnson was awarded a grant from the Ford Foundation for her outstanding undergraduate work and a Strathmore Paper Award for her excellence in drawing. After receiving her MFA degree Nancy taught painting and drawing at several institutions including Mount Wachusett Community College, Westfield State College and the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. As an adjunct at the University of Massachusetts Nancy participated in launching the first Summer Abroad Program in La Napoule, France and Brugge, Belgium where she and her colleagues instructed a group of 35 BFA students in painting and drawing.

    Nancy’s work ranges from paintings of the still life, and portrait to works based in the abstract expressionist tradition. Her work has been exhibited in Maine, Massachusetts and New York.     Matthew Fischer lives and works in New York City. He makes oil paintings as well as drawings with ink and other water media. He attended Columbia University School of the Arts where he received an MFA in Visual Art. He has been an artist in residence at The Edward F. Albee Foundation in Montauk, NY, The Lighthouse Works on Fishers Island, NY and The Vermont Studio Center. Before moving to New York, Fischer was the studio manager of the painting and drawing program at Anderson Ranch Arts Center in Snowmass Village, CO. Fischer has shown at Jack Tilton Gallery, Jack Hanley Gallery and 247365 in New York and at FJORD in Philadelphia.

92Y YourStage provides a venue for independent curators, performers, and educators to mount a professional production. Yourstage events are confirmed once they meet a threshold for ticket sales by a certain date.

YourStage events that are ON have been confirmed; PENDING events need to generate more ticket sales; If an event fails to generate enough ticket sales, the event will be CALLED OFF, and all ticket holders will be refunded.

Who is eligible for priority registration?

Individuals who have participated in 92nd Street Y programs over the past year in selected program areas, participants in certain memberships, and those who have made contributions of $500 or more to 92Y, are eligible to register for programs before they become available to the general public.

How do I know if I qualify?

Patrons that qualify for Priority Registration will receive packets in the mail explaining how to purchase online. Priority registration is normally mailed 2-3 weeks before a catalog is available. Registration information includes your Patron ID#. You can use this ID# to setup your login information online. This will allow you to register early for a course or event. Please note: if you receive a packet, you are only eligible to priority register for the programs covered in your packet.
