Bring your under-twelve-minute film (on DVD only), get it shown and pad the house with your friends–audience vote determines the winner. Think onscreen poetry slam. Each Short Slam (there will be 7 total) will be hosted by a different industry professional, i.e. someone aspiring filmmakers will want to impress and the winners of each will face off in the season finale on May 26.
Winners from all 7 Slams will compete in one final showdown in May for the following prizes:
Prizes include JetBlue Tickets, $250 cash and tickets to 92YTribeca Film screenings.
Signing up to show your film is on a first come, first served basis and will begin one hour before the screening.

 |  | Brief Biography Yael Melamede was a co-producer on the Oscar-nominated documentary feature My Architect, directed by Nathaniel Kahn, about the prominent architect Louis I. Kahn and most recently, the feature film Brief Interviews with Hideous Men. In 2000, Melamede joined Madstone Films, a unique digital production, distribution and exhibition company, as their Production Supervisor. Prior to that, Melamede worked as a post-production supervisor on such films as Wayne Wang's The Center of the World, Paul Schrader's Forever Mine and Paul Auster's Lulu on the Bridge, to name just a few. Melamede was trained and worked as an architect in London, NY and Tel Aviv, before making her career shift to film in the mid 90s.
