House of Satisfaction
House of SatisfactionCo-presented by Argot Pictures. Director/actor Jesse Hartman in person for post-screening Q&A.

Formerly in the bands Sammy and Laptop, Jesse Hartman takes on the role of director in his first feature in which he also plays the lead. Fifteen years ago, Jesse Limbo (Hartman) was a rising musician. But somewhere on the track to fortune and fame, he went off the rails. With nothing much to live for Limbo heads back home to New York City to find Elliot, the teenage son he's never met. But to find Elliot, Limbo must first come face-to-face with estranged best friend Mo Pitkin and ex-wife Emilie (musician Britta Phillips). Diving headfirst into the rhythms of his old life in the East Village, Limbo hides out in the club he helped build-the House of Satisfaction (shot in the former Mo Pitkin's venue).

Set to an exciting, original rock and roll soundtrack and featuring New York artists and performers such as Moby, Murray Hill and Dirty Martini playing themselves, House of Satisfaction unfolds over one long weekend, as Limbo confronts his past, makes new friends and decides if he's got a future.
