
These free one-hour, mixed-bill events focus on the process of creating choreography. Three to four choreographers show finished or in-progress choreography with audience discussion following each work. Fridays at Noon is co-curated by Catherine Tharin and Krista Nelson and takes place on the 2nd floor of the 92nd Street Y, in Buttenwieser Hall with special video showings by Mimi Garrard in the lobby before each performance.
Applications are no longer being accepted for the 2009-2010 anniversary season. Check back in the winter for the 2010-2011 application.
FALL October 2 Fridays Retro: Works from the ‘80s, by Hilary Easton, Gina Gibney, Jessica Nicoll and Amos Pinhasi hosted by Fridays at Noon founder, Jane Kosminsky.
October 16 NYC Picks (in partnership with the Irish Arts Center) Infectious and spirited Irish Step Dance including works by Niall O’Leary Junior Irish Dance Company, Keltic Dreams, Solas an Lae/Deirdre Lowry and Darrah Carr Dance.
October 30 Legacy Performance: Cunningham RUGs Classic dances of Merce Cunningham are revived on this group of four. Directed by Robert Swinston.
November 20 David Parker Presents Fridays At Noon veteran invites Catherine Tharin, Amber Sloan and Zack Winokur to perform work along side choice excerpts of his company’s repertoire.
December 4 Artists with a Twist Each with their own thrashing and richly-layered vision, with Marýa Wethers, Barbara Mahler, Marta Renzi and Rebecca Stenn show new works. |  |  | Explore what's coming up for the Winter and Spring Seasons.

For Teachers with students Grades 5–12 Introduce students to the art and process of dance making. View new dance works and works-in-progress by emerging and seasoned choreographers. Participate in discussions with dancers and choreographers about their process of making dances and take part in specially designed experiential dance workshops at the 92nd Street Y Harkness Dance Center. To attend a free performance and to arrange a post-performance workshop for your students, please fill out and send in the form below to make reservations.
